After Tax Season – April 19 to August 31

April 19 – 28: CLOSED
May 1 – August 31:
Mondays through Thursdays
For 2023, while completing extended returns, our office will be open 9:00am – 4:00pm for clients, as necessary; then will return to 9:00am – 3:00pm, for our regular summer hours.
First appointment at 9:30 am
Last appointment at 3:00 pm

With sporadic closure dates

The first week or so after the deadline we are not working – not even a little. We need time to reintroduce ourselves to our families. We need to get a full night of sleep, plus some extra. Then we will come back ready to work on extensions, amendments, and clients’ various other consulting needs.

Summertime is when we spend time with our children and family, resulting in some days when we are closed completely.

Extension Season – September 1 to October 15

Mondays through Thursdays
9:00 am through 4:00 pm
First appointment at 10:00 am
Last appointment at 3:30 pm

This is our second “mini” busy season as we try to meet the final extension deadlines of September 16 for business returns and October 15 for personal returns.

Tax Planning Season – October 16 through December

Mondays through Thursdays
9:00 am through 3:00 pm
First appointment at 10:00 am
Last appointment at 2:30 pm

This is a great time to look at the tax year thus far and make adjustments to stay on track with your expected tax liability. With your most recent pay stub(s) we can estimate your taxes and withholdings to make sure that you will be covered appropriately in April. Receiving a big refund in April is like giving the government an interest-free loan. They won’t offer you that type of loan, so don’t give them one!
